Configuration

1. License Compatibility: The SolusVM Slave node is the hypervisor that hosts the actual VPS instances. It must be installed on a supported Dedicated/Bare Metal Server with hardware virtualization support. Installing it on an unsupported VPS, operating system, or incompatible node will fail.

2. Activation & Management: Apply the dashboard activation key or command to the SolusVM Slave node and connect it to the authorized Master. Verify the node connection, virtualization status, and active license from the SolusVM administrator interface.

3. IP Change & Migration: If you experience any difficulty while changing the licensed IP, open a support ticket and include both the current (old) IP and the new IP. IP changes are usually instant, but in rare cases they may take 5 to 6 hours. Once the IP change is completed, the license will work only on the new server IP and will deactivate on the old server IP.

4. Security & Free Setup: We require only the Server IP for normal license generation; no administrator credentials are needed. If you choose the optional free setup service, open a support ticket and provide temporary root credentials. After setup, you can safely rotate the credentials with zero service interruption.
